Thanks for everything. :)

Aside of all of the good news about 3.1.11 the fact that this would be the last release it's the number one.
Please note that this is the last maintenance release for phpBB 3.1 as it has now reached end of maintenance (EOM). It will continue to receive security updates until December 2017.
Best regards.

But only with security patches, not with new features or things like that. If no security patch is needed, maybe it won't be released at all.

Is there any further information on the XSS issue? I'd like to figure out if my 3.1.10 board is affected and, if so, an isolated fix is possible.

Why don't you just update to 3.1.11?

Why don't you just update to 3.1.11?
Mainly because the German language packs are not available yet and because it might break compatibility with third-party styles. I will upgrade to 3.2.1 eventually, but I am wondering if 3.1.11 is important enough to edge it in.

Are the security issues public documented anywhere, now that the fix is out?

Hi!

Does anyone know if the automatic update package will be available again, mainly to update from 3.1.10 to 3.1.11? My thought is to upgrade to 3.2.x in the near future, but first I would like to update 3.1.x to the latest secure release, and since I've made some modifications it would be nice to use the automatic updater.

Thanks in advance,

Have a nice summer!

Hi!

Thank you very much, haven't seen that directory before.

Although, any idea why the update package isn't available from the download page? Is the update package stable and ready to use even though it isn't downloaded from the regular download section?

Thanks again.

Best regards,

Those packages aren't any different from what you find under the changed files tab on the downloads page.

The auto update packages will not be available for a while because, apparently, people were able to continue through the installation without actually finishing the file merging causing a lot of support requests and boards breaking, plus there might have been some issues with how it was handling the vendors folder. It might be back for the next maintenance release which could be this week, next week or a month or two from now.

My board still runs on 3.0.10 and I want to update it to the last stable release (3.2).

Is it safe for me to follow the steps as described in https://download.phpbb.com/pub/document ... tation.pdf (chapter 2.2 - Upgrading from 3.0 to 3.2) or do I need to upgrade to 3.1.11 first?

Follow this:
https://www.phpbb.com/support/docs/en/3 ... /upgrade3/

Remember, MODs and style from 3.0 will not work on phpBB 3.2.

Thanks
