are you sure you understand what this "clone" will be?

if you just want to have a phpbb board of your own, you simply download the software and install it on a server.

if you truly want your site to look and act just like the one here at phpbb.com, then that is what the "clone" thing is for.

however, you will not get all of the data that is part of phpbb.com you will only get the web pages etc.

you can create your own version by just installing prosilver_se as a style and using the pages extension to add custom pages etc.

maybe if you explained exactly what you are wanting as your final outcome we could help you to better understand how to do it.

thanks for the response :)
I know HTML and CSS so it won't be a problem at all :)

I just know how much time it takes to make a website so I don't want to steal anything :)

Clone, a website for my project. It won't be a problem to make a custom pages.

Well, if you just want to make a website the phpbb.com website is not the best example to use. Better idea is to just start with a new symfony application and use that as basics.

you are still missing the point. if you want a website using phpbb just install it from the download page. you don't need the clone of phpbb.com

it is just a custom install of the phpbb software for the purposes of this support site.

once again, if you explain exactly what you want the final outcome to be, in detail. we can help you better.

why would you need an exact copy of phpbb.com? what purpose would it serve for you?
that is what the "clone" thing is, an exact copy of the web page here at phpbb.com with none of the posts, data, etc.

This is just a guess, but i would think the header is one of the main reasons for using the clone, if you have a website and forum that you want to look the same it's pretty much spot on.

yep, however, there is an extension for the menu and another one for the banner. besides, I believe you have to get special permission to use the phpbb header graphics.

As i mentioned on a previous page, it's based on a symfony application/project. To use something like symfony project you need to understand how it works and how to make it work as a production project and so on.

Is the menu extension for the same one? i don't think i've seen one with sub menus,

You're right about the graphics, keeping it the same would be a little dodgy, but anyone using it for genuine reasons could change them and make themselves a really nice looking site while saving time and money.

the buttons menu was never finished and is not responsive.
however, I have one that is an exact duplicate of the one here at phpbb.com
I put it in a current prosilver_se style. you can see it here:
http://phpbbace.com/phpBB3.2.2
I also installed the headerbanner extension so you can duplicate the phpbb.com banner very easily.

I like this,
How comes the menu is not responsive? your site is working as expected with my phone,
(i'm no expert but i always try to make sure everything fits into the smallest window and it does)

mine is responsive but the one in that extension is not.

I do not have that extension on mine. I hard coded the html and css from copies from the one that is here on phpbb.com into a copy of prosilver_see since that is what the OP was looking for.
