I know that already. However, it does not have a corresponding style file in the Ext that I could have customized. There is only the cookie.css
Well, I'll try that. Although I don't have a plan right now for how :)
More of my styles you can find in my phpBB Style Board & More

The extension is either using core style .css files or cookie.css.

Hello. Good extension!

There is a problem with Safari, the cookies policy accepting banner does not disappear by clicking the "accept" button.
Appears again on every visit.

Hi,

I use this extension for some month now and I like it very much!
Nonetheless I have a problem with registration that I got aware of today (we do not have a lot of registrations).

On submitting the registration form the following error is shown:

Code: Select all

Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to a member function update_auto_groups() on null in htdocs/forum/ext/david63/privacypolicy/event/listener.php:281

Stack trace:
#0 [internal function]: david63\privacypolicy\event\listener->update_auto_groups(Object(phpbb\event\data), 'core.user_add_a...', Object(phpbb\event\dispatcher))
#1 htdocs/forum/vendor/symfony/event-dispatcher/EventDispatcher.php(184): call_user_func(Array, Object(phpbb\event\data), 'core.user_add_a...', Object(phpbb\event\dispatcher))
#2 htdocs/forum/vendor/symfony/event-dispatcher/EventDispatcher.php(46): Symfony\Component\EventDispatcher\EventDispatcher->doDispatch(Array, 'core.user_add_a...', Object(phpbb\event\data))
#3 htdocs/forum/phpbb/event/dispatcher.php(62): Symfony\Component\EventDispatcher\EventDispatcher->dispatch('core.user_add_a...', Object(phpbb\event\data))
#4 htdocs/forum/phpbb/event/dispatche in htdocs/forum/ext/david63/privacypolicy/event/listener.php on line 281
Obviously it has something to do with your extension and I can confirm that this error doesn't occur when I disable the extension.
But I am clueless what I could do to solve this problem.

The error occurs no matter if cookies are accepted or not.

The installed extension version is 2.1.0-rc6 (published 2018-05-24).

Do you have an idea what could be causing this?

EDIT:
Problem has already been reported - see this post

I just download the last version again.

Hi all

I am using this plugin. I found out that links in the privacy policy are blocked even if they are external ones (e.g. links to Wikipedia or the peoviyee6).

I guess external links should not be blocked, only internal ones so that the use of the board is blocked but external sides can be visited.

How can I enable external links?

Best regards
Chris

Hi, thank you for this extension.
I've started to use %sitename% in various places around my forum, which displays the name of the board. I believe this extension adds that function and is used in the Terms of Service. Specifically: (hereinafter “we”, “us”, “our”, “%sitename%”, “http://www.myboard.com”).

I'd like to be able to use %siteurl% to display the root path so I can change the Terms of Service to be: (hereinafter “we”, “us”, “our”, “%sitename%”, “%siteurl%”) but also use it elsewhere in the forum.

Hope you can help with this. Thanks.

The use of %sitename% is specific to this extension

This extension doesn't work anymore after upgrading to 3.2.2.
The link to the policy in the navbar takes to a 404 page.

EDIT: it's a "php.app and url rewrite problem" that manifested itself only after upgrade to 3.2.2...

Hi david, thanks for confirming.
Would it be easy enough to add in %siteurl%? I don't mind making manual edits.

Thanks

It works just fine in 3.2.2 - I have had it running for six months without a problem.

Perhaps a style issue, or an extension conflict.

Please remember that everyone who helps here does so in their spare time and has a real life outside phpBB. I am sure David will get back to you as soon as he is able. You will just have to be patient.

I cannot re-create this problem so your assertion that it is affecting all IOS devices is incorrect.

Can I have a link to the board where this is happening please.
