It works fine with mobile phones. of course there's a sticky nav at the top.
Check this:

The intention is to add a new menubar. Not replace the existing navbar.

Which theme are you using?

So it seems to me too on my smart phone side. Seems it looks pretty ugly and annoying. If you can not integrate it but the quick links on the smartphone then I wonder if it's possible to get it completely from the smart phone?

Hello,

Great extension. I would like to customize the way it align with the page. Taking in example your site, what would I need to edit in order to start aligning items there:
Image
I'm using a custom style that fluidly align itself with the page and it looks weird with it.

Thanks,
Johnny

EDIT: If that interest anyone, I got the expected result by changing container to container-fluid into ../overall_header_body_before.html.

Thanks for this fantastic extension, works beautifully on 3.2.4, customised Flat Style (Prosilver) and solved a navigation problem in how to integrate with our Wordpress site whilst retaining unique forum URLs. Cheers :)

One little thing, when I add other font awesome icon names (i.e. dog) no icons appear. Only the home icon seems to stick. Do I need to do anything to enable other icons?

Well, it was intended to to sticky navbar because there's already one navbar in phpBB. Didn't think anyone could want it not be sticky. So I hardcoded the navbar-fixed-top class in the template.
So what you have to do now, is override those css.
Enable custom css and put the following in it:

Code: Select all

.navbar.yamm.navbar-fixed-top {
    position: static;
}

body#phpbb {
    padding-top: 0;
}
Alternatively if you want to edit the template files, then remove the navbar-fixed-top from overall_header_body_before.html file and <style>...</style> section from overall_header_stylesheets_after.html file.

glad that you liked it.
phpBB uses font-awesome 4.7.0
so you have to use class name according to this version.
Font-awesome 5 uses different structure for class names. These class names won't work for 4.7
here you will find the correct icon class names:
https://fontawesome.com/v4.7.0/icons/

which do you want? static or moveable? they are opposites. it is static by default. that means that it stays at the top of the screen when you scroll the page up or down.

I assume that movable would mean that it moves with the page when you scroll the page up.

please explain better exactly what you want.

I have no idea what any of those images you posted mean. there is nothing like that in this menu bar.
