Having a question about translating phpBB 3.2? Want to discuss and collaborate with people currently translating phpBB 3.2? Here would be the correct place to do so.
Over half a year ago i made sure all the 8 official extensions was translated to danish and uploaded the translations.
But it seem only 2 of the extensions are including the translations even though there have been new releases and i submitted the translations in advance of the the new releases.
So this way of submitting translations for extentions does not work well when it only works 2 out of 8 times and i and the users have to wait maybe a year to see the translation and by that time its outdated.
I can see all of your translations in the respective extension language support topic.
David Remember: You only know what you know and - you don't know what you don't know! My CDB Contributions | How to install an extension I will not be accepting translations for any of my extensions in Github - please post any translations in the appropriate topic. No support requests via PM or email as they will be ignored
I used to include translation in my Extension Download but it was more trouble than it was worth as it will cause problems when there is a language string update to the extension.
Having the translations in separate download(s) makes my life easier, and new translations can be added at any time.
Because translators - as well as extension authors - often deliver something only once and with no update, I have to agree with HifiKabin. It is better to offer translations separately where there is no permanent cooperation. It makes no difference whether it is an official or private extension.
Webseite, Blog, Wiki Deutsche Übersetzungen - german language files My 2 cents: Whether an extension is in the CDB says nothing about its quality. It is more important to read the support topics for it. Better to avoid authors who do not answer support questions themselves, who do not update their stuff, and who do not fix bugs for years.
