add-on friendly links

Post by abdu7maan » Fri Apr 12, 2019 2:28 pm

Good evening
How are you doing ...
Looking for add-on special converting links and forums to friendly links.
So there are no links to one topic and indexing my links to the site
Is there an add-on?

More than one person has been contacted by experts in the field of cyo and the topic has been put in the forums has been answered that one of the links must be removed
The topic should not be indexed like this:
https://forum.gm-world.net/viewtopic.php?f=2&p=17
https://forum.gm-world.net/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=12

If the topic is not for some, there are others interested in this thing

I know this is not the answer you are looking for, but any 'expert' who says that dynamic links NEED rewriting for SEO does not know the first thing about how such links are indexed.
Q: Does that mean I should avoid rewriting dynamic URLs at all?

A: That's our recommendation, unless your rewrites are limited to removing unnecessary parameters, or you are very diligent in removing all parameters that could cause problems. If you transform your dynamic URL to make it look static you should be aware that we might not be able to interpret the information correctly in all cases. If you want to serve a static equivalent of your site, you might want to consider transforming the underlying content by serving a replacement which is truly static. One example would be to generate files for all the paths and make them accessible somewhere on your site. However, if you're using URL rewriting (rather than making a copy of the content) to produce static-looking URLs from a dynamic site, you could be doing harm rather than good. Feel free to serve us your standard dynamic URL and we will automatically find the parameters which are unnecessary.
Who says that? Google themselves (see the link in my sig)

If however you WANT such links that is a different question, fraught with problems.

I do not have a problem using dynamic links but only if there are multiple links to one topic. This feature is characterized by friendly links about dynamic links
There will enter a very bad index and the search spiders will not distinguish which page and the original content
Is this link:
https://forum.gm-world.net/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=12
Or this link:
https://forum.gm-world.net/viewtopic.php?f=2&p=17

Do you have solutions for not archiving links like this:
https://forum.gm-world.net/viewtopic.php?f=2&p=17

I do not know the answer to your question. I have a desire for friendly URLs, but have never spent the time needed to implement it.

But your specific issue of "how do we eliminate the fact that multiple page-specific lists exist for the same discussion thread" makes me wonder what the effect of senky's "infinite scrolling" extension would be in this scenario. (https://github.com/senky/infinitescroll, now redirected to sitesplat.com)

I'm not sure whether that actually drops the pagination parameter or not. But it makes sense that "it could", since all the posts for a given thread are now "on a single page". I also do not know, but assume, that it achieves the same thing for the list of threads within a forum.

bottom line is that the way phpbb and many other dynamic sites do that is not considered duplicate content by google etc.

google does not care if there are two slightly different links to the same post. it indexs phpbb sites just fine with no duplicate content problems etc.

so, just leave it alone like it is and worry about content and forum/topic titles so that your site will have good keywords etc.

that is what goole want, relevant content for whatever people do a search for.

Question: If the friendly links are not important why are you using Google, Yahoo, Microsoft, and a large percentage of the discussion forum software company using blogs and content management?

This is only an explanation that friendly links are more practical and useful than dynamic links ?

Bottom line is that 99.9% of users could not care less about how a link looks - all they do is click on it and go to wherever that link takes them.

Blogs and content management are one thing, forums/message boards are another.

We are talking about indexing dynamic links or not ... Google indexing both the friendly links and the dynamic links .... but the preference always links to the friend .... Give me an article stating that dynamic links. Better than friendly links

Dynamic links are better for Dynamic sites

Static links are better for Static sites

That is all you need to know.

Let me put it another way. What is better, Petrol or Diesel? It all depends on what type of engine in in your car

I reminded you of the problem of dynamic links indexing is random and unorganized
Ex:
https://forum.gm-world.net/index.php?ha ... 1554827194
https://forum.gm-world.net/index.php?ha ... 1554827241
https://forum.gm-world.net/viewtopic.php?f=2&p=17

Constant links benefit all sites
Dynamic links are good if you can prevent search spiders from reaching unnecessary pages and duplicate pages

Then set your Bot group permissions to prevent that happening
