Sitemap phpbb

Post by hamidouki »

Hello
I'm coming back here again to find someone who can fix errors that are present on my sitemap.xml file

Following a problem of an extension to install on my forum and which caused the reset of my configuration permissions and I lost in SEO for a month.

Is there anyone who can see my sitemap.xml file knowing that there is 4 files identical to the first but with less SEO, and my Google webmaster table always displays the presence of error on it?
Thank you

Where did you get your sitemap from? If you are using the extension available here then you need to ask for support in the appropriate topic, if you got it from elsewhere you will need to ask there.

Such sitemaps are designed for static sites, not dynamic ones like phpBB. Delete that sitemap and install the extension which is designed for phpBB

Yes, as I said there was in my first reply https://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/exte ... o_sitemap/

Four sitemaps? One site, one sitemap. Anything else is going to cause problems not solve them.

ALSO, there is no real need for a sitemap anyway. Google et al are clever enough to index sites without any help

Which site are you talking about, there are two in your profile one is unreachable?

I'm trying it on my forum phpbb 3.3.0.

The install has been well accepted, with no error of any kind.

The sitemap index results to be: https://www.arnoldehret.it:80/forum/app.php/sitemap/sitemap.xml

This url with the 80 port added doesn't work, this error appears: ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR

In this way works: https://www.arnoldehret.it/forum/app.php/sitemap/sitemap.xml

Then there are still the :80 thing in all sistemaps listed in the index.

How can this problem solved?
(the urls in the post cannot be reached now, the ext is disabled.)

To receive extension support please visit our Extensions Database and post in the specific extension's designated support area. The link to the support area for each released extension is also available in the first post of each released extension listed in the [3.2.x] Extension Database Releases forum. For extensions still in development (not recommended for a live board) support is in that extensions's topic in the Extensions in Development forum.

I have not been able to replicate the issue and suspect that its due to a server configuration problem.

Do you have "Force server URL settings:" set to yes in ACP? If so, change it to No. (Works with either setting on my test boards)

As I don't publish my extensions here on phpBB this is not the place to report issues or seek help and I suggest in future you seek help or post bug reports on Github.
