Re: Discuss: phpBB 3.2.6 Release

Post by Talk19Zehn »

Hello, many thanks to David63 for his ticket: viewtopic.php?f=556&t=2509981&p=15243246#p15243326 and the prompt help via rubencm --> "hotfix":
https://github.com/phpbb/phpbb/pull/5578
Unfortunately, this is not fixed yet. Thanks to Matt Friedman for his ticket:
https://tracker.phpbb.com/browse/PHPBB3-16037
It is also still open.

My personal opinion @Crizzo:
... (...) ... If the development team thinks there is a problem, which needs a quick fix and needs a new release, then there is a new release, like 3.2.7 or a patch-level release , e. G. 3.2.6-pl1.
... (...) ...
Right, my personal opinion:
There is only the shortest possible path, which represents the best solution for all participants.

Greetings from Germany.
Best regards

Automatic update went through smoothly, thanks!

But: Anybody else having problems with links to external sites not parsing as links anymore?

I just edited a test post on my board and entered www.google.co.uk and it parsed as a link.

EDIT: works here too

If you would read the posts before you would know it is a known bug ;-)

viewtopic.php?p=15244606#p15244226
My 2 cents: Whether an extension is in the CDB says nothing about its quality. It is more important to read the support topics for it. Better to avoid authors who do not answer support questions themselves, who do not update their stuff, and who do not fix bugs for years.

The solution mentioned is a temporary solution and causes some problems
I wish Ajeed team a quick solution to this problem.

That's the support tools bug tracker not the phpBB3 bug tracker.

The problem with signing in has already been reported.
It has been reported in this topic, in the support forum and in the Tracker.
A Pull Request was already made on GitHub with the fix for the issue.

You made another ticket, not for the 'phpBB3' category but for the 'Support Toolkit', (STT).
