I can.
I think he's pulling your leg, or implying "here is your alternative solution to editing core files", which is to link to the offsite content rather than uploading it. As he has done withKot Matroskin wrote: ↑Sat May 11, 2019 7:37 pmNo sure how you did it. Right now I tried to upload the file again using different browsers (Firefox, Chrome, Edge), and it fails.

in the message where he said "I can."I don't try to locate for another solution, changes in the file that increasing size of analyzed exif are pretty enough. I just want to know when (or if) this change will be included into official release.
All related issues seems to be fixed in previous releases:
The software storing your upload must have modified the file, so whatever we download is not the original anymore. Put the original file into a ZIP and attach it here, or compare both files (your original and the downloaded upload) and you should notice differences.
EXIF is not the problem here.
No, stripping EXIF alone is no solution - the file may still have segments (XMP, IPTC, ICC...) which quickly outrun 124576 bytes and a SOF header with the dimensions still hasn't appeared. Also stripping softwares do not necessarily all produce the same output.
No, this issue was never fixed - the former ticket was for EXIF, the latter was for treating uploaded pictures in general - phpBB is still unable to treat (all) valid JPEG files accordingly.Kot Matroskin wrote: ↑Sun May 12, 2019 1:03 pmhttps://tracker.phpbb.com/browse/PHPBB3-15103

I saved this one with
right-mouse-button/download image as
and it contains the metadata.+1 The image provided by Kot Matroskin fails when I try to upload it as an attachment here on https://www.phpbb.com/community/, exactly as they have provided it. By "fails" I mean the upload status gets a "yellow triangle", and clicking on the yellow triangle shows an alert message of "ERROR: It was not possible to determine the dimensions of the image. Please verify that the URL you entered is correct."3Di wrote: ↑Mon May 13, 2019 8:24 amI saved this one withright-mouse-button/download image as
