Topic notifications for announcement section

Post by Matlo » Wed Jun 12, 2019 6:29 am

Hello,

Thanks for developing and maintaining phpbb.

I subscribed to the Annoucement section, but I'm not getting any notification for new topics.
I just wanted to get a notification when a new release gets out.

Any idea about what the issue might be?

Have there been any announcements since you subscribed?

There are normally only about four or five announcements a year in that forum.

I subscribed in January and I did not get notifications for the 3.2.6 and 3.2.7 releases.

Have you checked the "Manage subscriptions" in your UCP to make sure you are subscribed? Also do you have notifications set in "Edit notification options"?

Yes I did. Also, I subscribed to this topic and got notified about your reply.

When 3.2.6 and 3.2.7 were released my user had no posts. Is there any limitation for such users?

Not that I am aware of.

It is possible that if you were on the board at the time that the announcement was posted then you would not have had a notification.

Ok, I'll let you know if I get notifications or not after next announcement.

Thank you for your help.
