Anyone happens to know the names for a few oldschool games? Help!

Game 1: You had to destroy tiles in a bingbong method with a ball.

Game 2: You tarveled in a space and destroyed the upcoming aliens and barriers and sometimes you got some new weapons the further you went. I used to play this in a DOS.

Yeah, breakout is correct. I look for that version, that had kind of a Doom kinds of graphics, i.e. brown ones. You occasionally got some weapons for your ramp. Maybe the brown one is not the original one, but that's the one I'd like to find.

And Gradius seems also a right one, or at least samey to the one I used to play in the late 90's.

Anywyas, I was thinking to add a link to the online versions of these games.

Helps a bit if you roughly know the year and the platform/OS it was on. Not every game was made for every console/computer.

I think it was for win 95 or something. More about that version though, you could get the ball sticked til you released it back for a fly too.
Edit: To include more info: they were played via DOS and they needed usually 1-3 A-discs. And the graphics were already kinda ok'ish.
Edit 2: I think these versions were run mostly in 256-color mode.

I’ve just seen a “top ten DOS games ever” page but it didn’t have ‘Chucky Egg’, ‘Manic Miner’ or ‘Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy‘ (text version) listed so boo to the list. Don’t forget Calgames as well, then there’s Lemmings. You can still get Hitchikers and others here.

Don't think Manic Miner was ever on DOS. Spectrum only.

I played it on DOS I’m not sure I’m certain though.

My gaming life consisted of Lemmings, Oh No more Lemmings, the various Christmas Lemmings games, Lemmings 2 (The Tribes), All new world of Lemmings and after tried I started the 3D Lemmings but that just didn't cut it, neither did the various Lemmings clones.
Then there was Doom, Doom 2, Heretic and Hexen which were goof fun but then came ... Unreal and UT (single player campaigns) and UT is just about the only game I still play and to me the reference combining adventure, tactic, and problem solving.
Even though I haven't played it, I've seen Minecraft and that is just about the only "new" game I would really like to try: it's basically a modernised (computerised) Lego with the same educational value. Definitely one of the most innovative concepts (even though it's Lego) combining problem solving and adventure.
A good game should not rely on flashy graphics and ultraspeed!
