3.28. to 3.3 mistake! need a little help please?

So I'm a complete pleb and after accidentally d/l and installing a new forum yesterday on 3.2.8 I realised 3.3 was out (clicked the wrong link) so have d/l 3.3, u/l it without ANY of the right instructions (pleb) so now my installation is saying "tables already in place, choose another prefix" (phpBB_) so where do I go from here? Do I change the prefix or can I get around it? I spent a long time setting up forums, permissions and have a cpl of members with posts I'd hate to lose.
Could I re u/l 3.2.8 and redo the config file?

I suspect you wanted to update your board, and not install a new board.
Just restore your 3.2.8 config file and you should be fine.

I deleted the 3.3 files and went to grab the 3.2.8 ones off the site but its now 3.2.9 lol so I've uploaded them I just need to re-create a config file...I have the details but a blank page so need the prefixed code..(just found it in the knowledge base)

I'm back up now phew! I've also backed up the config file lol now to read up on how to do it properly
