You will require an extension for that as it is not something that is in the core code

I did a board wide search on "hCaptcha" before posting and no results where returned... :?

Then it would appear that you have your answer.

You could make an extension request in the Extension Request forum or if you are willing to pay post in the Wanted forum and see anyone is prepared to do it.

Kind of. It won't be part of the built-in captcha for phpBB. I would like to see hCaptcha put in the core code as a CAPTCHA option perhaps even in place of Google's version.

I have 8 forums total that are configured the same but one gets more spam than the rest. Spammers have found a way around Google's latest v3 Recaptcha near as I can tell. So a less popular version may stump them more??

you could just use the phpbb built in Q&A
with a good question that can not be googled for the answer, you can usually eleminate pretty close to 100% of the spam bots. and with the first post needed moderation, you can get most of the human spammers as well.

From what I’m led to believe none of the reCAPTCHA versions have been very secure.

Adding another vote for adding hCaptcha support.
As far as I understood it's pretty much a drop-in replacement for reCAPTCHA v2 with just changing some URLs

Hopefully we will see phpBB support it soon then?
