Marking PM's: The submitted form was invalid. Try submitting again.

Post by gsmaclean »

Since upgrading to 3.3, all of the users on my site (myself included) are no longer able to manage their PM's by marking messages. If while in the PM page, you check the "mark" checkbox on one or more messages, then select one of the actions (Mark as Important or Delete Marked), when the page is submitted, the response is "The submitted form was invalid. Try submitting again."

I tried clearing the board cache as well as browser cookies, with no difference. Is anyone else having this same issue (indicating a potential bug) or is it unique to my installation?

See the common problems sticky at the top of this forum
It's a known issue that will be fixed in the next release.

Hi, thanks for this - I had scanned through that sticky before, but to me "Common problems while upgrading to 3.3.0" indicated problems that might be encountered DURING the upgrade process itself, not issues with the release code.

In any case, I did apply the diff changes in that pull, which only partially fixed the issue. Whereas before it immediately gave you the "The submitted form was invalid" error upon submission, now it gets to the "Are you sure?" page, and THEN when you submit that page, you still get "The submitted form was invalid" error.

Not sure what changes or modifications you did in trying to fix this but here are the changes that you're suppose to do:

Thanks

Yes, those are exactly the changes I made, as I mentioned.
