Extension Description: Reduces excessive quoted text to a 200px high box, adding a scroll bar as needed.

Requirements: phpBB 3.2.0 and later

• Download the latest release and unzip it.

I like the idea but it would, in my opinion, be better if the box was resizeable (sorry but you know that I don't want to make it too easy for you ) There are times when it is easier to read what is being quoted if you can see all of it.

I had thought of that David, but it may prove problematic where there are several nested quotes. eg

Swearing doesn't solve anything ... but GDI, it certainly relieves the tension and as such IS beneficial.

I have setup something for you. I have added the Readmore.js Jquery plugin.

Re Written with a 'Read More" link in addition to the scroll bars. (Thanks 3Di)

• Delete scrollquoted folder from the server
• Upload the the folder hifikabin to root/ext/ and enable it in the ACP

Reverted to original coding after discussion with 3Di

Update from previous version:

• Disable Scroll Quoted Text in the ACP
• Delete Scroll Quoted Text Data
• Delete scrollquoted folder from the server
• Upload the the folder hifikabin to root/ext/ and enable it in the ACP

I modified rc1 version to do many other things so far no issues also acp controls.

example as your code gave me errors in consol.

That is part of the code that I have now removed in this extension.

Yes i know as i stated i modified your code and now its working.

We are still running 3.2 (but about to upgrade to 3.3), and we installed this EXT yesterday. In less than 24 hours, it has already saved our moderators from having to tidy up long quotes several times! And they very likely would have missed or felt too busy to do that work on some or all of those occasions.
