Anyone else dislike the profiles on the right?

I have only had my forum for just over 2 weeks and I have searched and installed a few themes but mostly the profiles are on the right and it really bugs me, I am actually thinking of merging from PhPBB to somewhere else as it doesn't seem a simple fix. I know that there are extensions but they don't work for 3.3.1. and also the profiles are very wide.

Thanks, but like I said above it doesn't work for 3.3.1. I get this.

Well, that depends on the style. Maybe this is not supported and you need to make some custom changes.

there is alink to download the extension from github that apparentlly works and then lower you can download new copies of the styles folder for prosilver and for elegance styles to fix the problems.

keep in mind that these arty styles are no longer updated or supported in any way by arty.

a couple of people have taken up some of them to keep the udated but I would suggest you find some different styles
because you never know if they are going to be updated/upgraded in the future.

On our PHPBB2 board, we moved them to the right around the time that PHPBB3 came out. When viewed from a mobile device they appear on the bottom which seems to work for us.

Yep, we changed ours over to the left years ago. It looks and feels easier on the eyes on that side. But phpBB's design is still nice

i have never liked the profiles on the right and make them on the left in my own styles. they are not awesome styles but it's what i like

Personally I am not bothered one way or the other - some boards have them on the left, some on the right. All I am interested in is the content.

Personally, profiles are more pleasant to look at when they're on the left side, but I am left handed after all, so that might have something to do with it.

In my opinion the profiles in the posts should stand up high so as to leave more space for the content.
Using an HR to distinguish the two would certainly help.

We have implemented this option for comments from the Video Blog Gallery.

I like it being on the right because the first thing my eyes are drawn into is the post aka the important part.

That, if I recall correctly, was the whole ethos behind prosilver when it was created for phpBB 3.0
