Hello.
Thanks for this style.

I have a problem with the day / night display.

If I switch to night, the day mode always jumps briefly when changing pages and then changes back to dark.

What can that be?

phpBB3.3.3
and 3.3.4

Demo: https://toplistenportal.de/forum/index.php?style=4

greeting

Bengel

Unfortunately I don't think much can be done about this as loading of html elements always takes time.
I could probably improve the speed but not get rid of the "flash / load" completely.

I could also switch it to be CSS based which would be faster but attached/posted images would remain bright.

Hello jrolson.

Thanks, now I understand what this is about.

I tried that on my live forum.
There is of course much more content available, like in the demo link above, which is almost without content.

When I use that in the LiveForum, the difference is even clearer and therefore practically impossible to use, because that is very annoying.

You get frightened in the evening when it is so light in between and changes.

Maybe you can find a solution, that would be nice.

Strange, looks like it's not loading until after the footer loads. :?

The footer has not been changed.
No additional elements have been added by me.

I looked at your Style Aero, it is the same for me there ;-)

Hello jrolson.

Thank you for the update.

Unfortunately, the night mode no longer works properly as soon as the page is changed.

Action.
I start the night mode, it works.
I change sides, the night mode "partially" switches off.

The top half of the page becomes light and the bottom half of the page remains dark.
Strange.

You can see it on the page that has not yet been opened.

I deleted the cache, in the browser and in the forum.
Unfortunately it does not work.

It looks like template/custom.js isn't getting read on your site.

You also have another jquery line being added below custom.js which may be conflicting. Most likely added by a mod or the portal.

I found the problem.

It is the ext. Of Fluffington, tabbet smilies.
viewtopic.php?f=501&t=2568966

When I disable them, it works with day / night mode without any errors.

Since Fluffington's Ext. Has meanwhile been set to ABD, he unfortunately doesn't do anything anymore.

Do I have a way to change something to use both or do I have to make a decision?

//Edit:
Sorry, it wasn't that.
I keep looking ^^

You can try moving,

Code: Select all

<!-- IF $P_NIGHTMODE or $P_VIEWFORUM_OPTIONS or $P_PROFILE_SWITCHER -->
<script async src="{T_TEMPLATE_PATH}/custom.js"></script>
<!-- ENDIF -->
after,

Code: Select all

<!-- EVENT overall_header_stylesheets_after -->
And see if that works..
