There have been various topics previously in which political/controversial discussion turned to personal attacks against other members of this community.
We no longer are allowing discussion of political/controversial topics in General Discussion. These topics often go off topic and phpBB.com is not the place for them. Such topics or posts will be removed.
The one exception to this rule is if the content is directly related to phpBB. An example of a topic that would fall into this exception would be legislation and laws that can directly affect phpBB forum owners like GDPR. Keep discussions civil.
