Those are all paraphrases of course (and none from this particular thread I should add), but it's hard not to look at this kind of stuff and think "what am I getting myself into here?"

You can apply as junior validator: https://www.phpbb.com/extensions/junior-validators/. In short the task of a junior validator is to test extensions, and see if there are any major issues with the extension.
