Detailed description of the tasks:

I am running mChat on my PhpBB forum, but I would like that chat to be integrated into a Discord channel as well.

So someone on the forums posts a message on mChat, it also posts it in Discord. And if someone on Discord responds/posts in that channel, it posts it on the web site mChat as well.

The bot should post as the bot+discord name

When replying in discord:
Botname [discord username] - message

When replying on forums:
Botname [forum name] - message

You might want to chat with the author of mChat. He'd be most likely to do it efficiently. Likely some sort of existing event would need to tie into a PHP Discord API like this one:

Someone PMd me telling me they could do it for $** in a week. So waiting to see what they've created this weekend.

Well it fell through. Person who said they'd have be able to do it said it would be too much work. They got the forum to discord posts working, but they were not able to get the discord to forum part working. Said it would require a daemon running 24/7 to monitor discord for new posts to send them to the forum which can't be done on shared hosting. I informed them I had two dedicated servers that I co-locate in a datacenter (not VPS, physical servers, bare metal) that I can easily run a bot/daemon to monitor discord for new posts and send them to the forums, but they read the message and never responded. So I am assuming they do not want to do this.

Still willing to pay to have this done if anyone is interested.

It would seem not at this moment in time, two reasons, one:

No I have not been able to get this done.

I had one person who took a shot at it, but he wasn't able to get it to work.

Maybe worth contacting them, they seem to have done half the work already
