I assume you mean a link to the web site? I will contact you via PM.

prosilver only one available

Which CAPTCHA are you using for registration?
Did not know there were options. It's several characters at all angles, hard to see on background.

What (if any) extensions have you enabled?
none

Thats why you are getting lots of bots registering. That CAPTCHA was broken by bots many years ago. Use the inbuilt Q&A with an unGoogable answer, avoiding colours numbers etc

How to configure Q&A
  1. Administration Control Panel (ACP) > Spambot countermeasures> Installed plugins > click the dropdown box and select Q&A (it will be greyed out)
  2. Click the configure button then click add
  3. Add your question and answer (you need a Q&A for each language you have installed) click submit
  4. Click "back to previous page" then click "back"
  5. Select Q&A from the dropdown box (again)
  6. Click submit at the bottom of the page.
  7. Done.
and see Preventing Spam in phpBB3 for more options for fighting spam in phpBB.

That should help a lot then. I have more of a Windows UI leaning, so when days ago I looked at the captcha options, since that selection is greyed out, to me that means - it's not an option.

I had disabled registration altogether after the bot intrusions and then needed to depend on a personal contact.
If this solves the spambot problem it's great on its own, but since the intended audience is limited, the question can also help keep out non eligible users since the question is community specific.

I'll let Mick check it out.
thank you so much.

Spelling is freeware, which means you can use it for free.
On the other hand, it is not open source, which means you cannot change it or publish it in a modified form.

Spambots are quite capable of reading the wobbly letter type CAPTCHAs and solving them, they’re programmed that way. Once one beats it the rest follow and all hell breaks out. They can also use search engines like we do in their quests for entry so make sure your answers can’t be Googled. I’d suggest activating the Newly Registered User group as well.
