Anyone creating a standalone "clear cache" extension? v3.3.4

Anyone creating a standalone "clear cache" extension for v3.3.4

At the moment I'm using the stk to jump to the last step as the cache option on the templates/themes function no longer appears to have this in the list of functions available (was in v3.0 .. )

Apologies in advance if this has been requested or exists .. but trying search for cache does result in a LOT of results! (Mainly telling users to clear the cache!

Not sure why you would want to have a clear cache as an extension when it is built into the ACP - what advantage would there be?

I have a Cache Clear button in the breadcrumb links on my index page and it comes in handy all the time.

I might agree in a development board but not on a production board

You can use phpBB's cli to clear the cache.

The OP can clarify but "standalone" like the functions in the STK would imply it's not really an extension they are seeking but a way to clear the cache independent of the ACP. phpBB's CLI can do that.

Simply I want a clear cache option that ISN'T in the STK but the ACP ... having to go into the stk and find the last step of the database cleaner process is a PITA!

I can't use the CLI because it's a hosted server and so limited access via PLESK, FTP, etc.

Why don't you go to the ACP then?

It is in the ACP.
It's one of the buttons under the stats window.

Nothing - purge and clear mean the same thing

Sorry if I'm bumping this, bu I would need that.
The sense for such an extension is a link in the footer, visible only to the admin, to clear cache from every page.
Useful in many situations as a time saver, while working on the style files.
