Blank Screen after updating database

Attempted an upgrade 2 different ways
1. Full package
2. Through cpanel

both gave the same result of blank white screen domain wide.

Yes I did disable all the extensions and did the purge.
For now I will remain with v3.3.8 which I have reverted to.

Thank you Mannix, site downgraded to 3.3.8 and fully working.

Will attempt upgrade tomorrow

I attempted an upgrade twice, first using the full package which gave me blank white screen domain wide and then reset back to 3.3.8 and did an upgrade through cpanel option and again the same results.
Have reset to 3.3.8 and will clone site on another domain then keep debugging I guess.

Did you try with all extensions disabled and style set to prosilver?
If that works normally, first try switching to the Milk style.
If that's still OK, enable the extensions 1 by 1 and see the result.
You might want to try with an extension using js first.

Yes I did disable all ext. And set theme to pro silver.
Any more suggestions are welcome warmweer
Point to note is that even the cpanel installatron method of one click update gave the same result..

How is that possible if you install yout board with the files from phpbb?

I am digging a little deeper and asking my hosting company, well not asking them but pinning the failures on them, just waiting for the results. Even if I change theme I get a blank Screen. right now the only thought I have is WTF and WTF and WTF again

The cpanel installatron has a feature where it can automatically update and or install not only phpbb but other software.
All that has done for me is remove the possibility of human error on my behalf.

Both methods and in between restored last stable back up of 3.3.8
I am now looking at how to move all the post's and users to another fresh installation on another domain with another DB

Done the transfer of DB and can see in phpmyadmin the new database has the new tables in there however due to my lack of knowledge I can not seem to see the changes in phpbb Admin or board index.

If I was to take a rough guess it would be something to do with permissions.

Did you rebuild the config.php ?

I decided to go old school and revamp, the only thing I need to do now is export-import selected tables from old DB
