Why not just turn profile fields off?
They are basically free advertising space for people, some of them sign up to a forum and just fill in the profile with a link and then never post anything - just so their website is listed in the 'member-list'
At the end of the day, if you want a busy forum people should be joining to discuss, not to share there websites which people clicking on leads them away from your forum.
Although, I just read a spam post on your forum and the user had made 1 post - you are missing out on the superb built in feature that is the 'newly registered users' group which can be used to make every new users 1st post require approval.
Q&A's are very good but if your forum subject is something which will attract users from countries with different languages - it can be tricky.
Most of us will enjoy Christmas in the comfort of our own homes this year, however, sadly, that can't be said for people in the Ukraine who are suffering day after day, due to the Russian invasion.
