Detailed description of the tasks:

The longevity of our forum, established in 2006, has been instrumental in driving traffic to our site. However, following the last two updates, we've encountered several operational issues that have hindered its smooth functioning. For instance, issues with user sign-ups and authentication have surfaced, which need thorough troubleshooting. We need a update from 3.3.4 to the newest version with testing to follow so it runs smoothly and efficiently. This forum used to be key for SEO then after the last update it stopped and I realized when going through the url structure and some indexed pages, it was a update issue so I would like to get it back to its glory in helping drive traffic to my site again. I just really need this site working great again because right now no one can even sign up and post, maybe the random person will get lucky and somehow be able to sign up and I have no idea what makes that happen.

In the past, the forum ran flawlessly for over a decade, thanks to the meticulous work of a former collaborator, a proficient PHPBB professional. Unfortunately, he has since retired.

In addition to the technical upgrade and troubleshooting, we also want to make minor layout modifications for an improved user interface. Specifically, we would like to relocate the site menu to the top of the page to prevent users from unintentionally exiting the forum and some other small changes. I need this done asap so professionals needed! Thanks
