Converter from wbb5.5

Post by Bulldozer 1973 »

So I'll attach myself to it right away.

At the moment I also use Woltlab 5.3 as forum software.

And looking for a converter that can convert the data from Woltlab to phpBB 3.3.

The whole user and posts as well as the forums to create everything manually would be very tedious.

Here’s a list of available convertors, they’re a bit ancient but may give you an idea or two.

I’ve had a search here and found a similar request here from last year and the resulting request in the Wanted! forum.

I found this convert WBB to phpBB and Convert Woltlab burning board to phpbb if they’re any use to you? There may be more.

Thank you very much. The pay converter, I've already looked there - I think it was 300 or 500 euros that should cost it. I can't afford that much for a converter.
wbb3 can no longer be compared with wbb5, so this converter will not really help. the converters that go up to wbb5.3 can no longer be used either. Woltlab has implemented significant changes in wbb5.4 and even more with 5.5. That's why converters made for wbb5.4 don't work either. But thanks anyway.

I will follow your other Links, maybe ther will be found a solution

Blimey, that was quick :)

I think the price probably reflects the complexity of the job but, unfortunately, it looks like whichever way you jump it’s going to cost money.

Best of luck.

Then we will probably nothing else left and stay with WL have to build or the forums new and start from scratch, only how do you make the 3500 users clear that all the contributions are then gone?

Why not get a quote then ask your membership for a donation? It may turn out it’s only a couple of £/€/$ each.

It might be an alternative to close the Woltlab and start over with another software, BUT keep the Woltlab open as an archive for the members only that they can no longer write there?

Ah, now i have found the Site with prices:
https://driven2services.com/threads/inv ... ricing.42/

Migration only from WoltLab Suite 3.x - and starting at $400 - it doesn't matter to me either way.
Firstly, I have a higher version of Woltlab and secondly, the price is not feasible for me :(

Ah, ok... no, it's not my info. It's bulldozers Info ;)

I thought you mean that the page says something like price is based on experience. I only have 79 users. I thought that would be 79 x 0.11 as the price. I was already relieved :D
But that was just a misunderstanding!

Just ask your 3500 users and 79members for one$ and you can pay some one to do the conversion.
If the don't want to spend one $ than it is probably not worth it.
