New to phpbb and migrating

Post by hylian »

Migrating from Proboards curious if anyone can help re-create my site's theme from Proboards to phpbb.
Does anyone also have any tips on migrating from Proboards or if it would just be best to completely start over and just try to re-create my community from scratch? I already started the process. Not sure if I'm posting in the correct forum, forgive me if I am not as I am a little confused being new.
If anyone would be interested in helping code and design I'd even be willing to pay. I would rather discuss everything in PM's, or off phpbb's support forum and somewhere more exclusive between me and said contractors. If anyone has any advice feel free to share below :D

I value your time in reading my topic and thank you I hope you have a wonderful day.

Kind Regards,
Hylian

Hello,

What theme/style are you using?
Depending on the design, it can be quite easy to recreate for phpBB.

Hello @cabot thank you for replying back, I am using the Prosilver Dark Theme for phpbb I have tried to already use the codes I use from my Proboard's forum layout but running into some errors. :?

Kind of have the phpbb forum all over the place - I just decided to want to own my forum and site and run it myself without seeing like that it was hosted for free by another provider. I'm already impressed and amazed but how many features you can put on your forum with php.

Any help is greatly appreciated and again thank you for taking the time to read.

I was talking about the Proboard style.
Which Proboard style would you like to adapt to phpBB?

I contacted Smangii to ask if I could use elements of his theme to adapt it to phpBB.
If she/he agrees, I'll make an adaptation. The style won't be a carbon copy, but I'll try to keep the general look.
