Admin Activation ONLY on Initial Registration?

Hi fellow phpbb folks.

Does anyone know of an extension or mod to require an admin-activation only at the point of new account registration, making it no longer necessary once the account has been approved? It bothers me that someone who updates their account password or email address still requires an admin to reactivate their account even though they've been an active (and approved) user for years. Thanks!

It's only an email change that triggers that, not the password.

Which totally makes sense really when you require admin activation to begin with... (IMO)

I had a look into this and checked the code that handles registration. You could probably make an extension to bypass the activation key that is generated but it's a bit awkward.
