ACP PASSWORD

Post by Sadiq1360 »

Hello
I forgot the username and password to enter the ACP section.
How can I change the user and password through C panel?

For security reasons it’s not possible to gain entry to the ACP via cPanel, the passwords are encrypted.

The ACP password and username are the same as the ones you normally log in to your board with. Can’t you use ‘I forgot my password’?

See viewtopic.php?p=15482161#p15482161 for the emergency founder account.
Spelling is freeware, which means you can use it for free.
On the other hand, it is not open source, which means you cannot change it or publish it in a modified form.

Don't edit that emergency admin statement. It looks like you put your own email address in with a space at the end of it. It's not necessary because that account will only be active for a few minutes and then be deleted.

Yes
Thanks
The problem was solved in the following way

Code: Select all

<?php
/**
* Usage: --> make sure you have a backup of your Database before to run this tool!
* Download and/or unzip the file, upload it to your Board's root (i.e.: www.mydomain.com/phpBB3/)
* Point your browser to i.e.: www.mydomain.com/phpBB3/sos_admin.php), it auto-destroys itself once ran.
*
* This file will create an admin user named Admin1 with a password of admin. From that point you should be
* able to get into the ACP.
* As soon as you have done this, use the temporary admin account to change the details on the original admin
* account, then delete the temporary account.
* To remove the account you will first need to remove “founder” status from it:
* ACP > USERS AND GROUPS tab > Manage Users > Admin1 > Overview > Founder = No
*
* @package phpBB sos_admin.php v1.0.1-Ascraeus (3.1) and (3.2)
* @copyright (c) 2016/2017 3Di (Marco T.) http://3di.space/32

ok
Not sure why you needed to make a script like that. The SQL query works fine, just don't edit it at all.
