No matter what i try to download on phpbb.com i get 403 Forbidden

No matter what i try to download on phpbb.com i get 403 Forbidden

When trying to download phpBB or even the guide documentation i get the same error:

"403 Forbidden
Request forbidden by administrative rules. "


What is the problem? Is it because iam using VPN? I need my vpn, and a lot of people do, so what else could it be?

Yes, it's your vps. Just disable it for phpbb.
With some vps programs, you can disable the vpn connection for added domains.

I’ve just tried downloading with a VPN active without issue.

Unfortunately, due to the large amount of abuse we got from some VPN providers, we were required to block these providers. We are currently working on a alternative solution for this, but that might take a bit of time.

Can you tell if the abusive VPNs you mention are free or paid for?

The ones i am using are paid for. But seem they just dont accept the hole M247 isp

Tried 2 free VPNs. no problem downloading.

I have a paid for one that I’ve used for a long time, I use it on iPhone, iPad, MacBook, PC and Firestick without issue. I’ve always been a believer in you get what you pay for. I never bothered with ones for free after my experience with free adblockers.

We have just made some changes to our infrastructure, and it should now be possible to download via VPN again.
