Post by exemplary1 »

This is second time it happened.
I replied here in this forum and it didn't appear.
Am I doing something wrong ?

Maybe you took too long to submit (happens to me sometimes).
Spelling is freeware, which means you can use it for free.
On the other hand, it is not open source, which means you cannot change it or publish it in a modified form.

Posts don't get deleted. There's absolutely nothing of yours in our 'trash' forum.

Could it be a problem for my forum ?
Btw, it was a normal 2 line reply, and didn't take too long to press submit button.

We have a hidden forum where posts get moved to instead of being deleted. There are none of your posts in there. So that suggests the mods are not removing anything of yours.

I see.
Actually it immediately gets lost, as soon as I post. So its not about moving.
When I click Submit button, I dont see my reply, but someone else's reply is there.

Ah well that's totally different.

You need to read what it says above that message. It's telling you that another message has been posted while you were writing yours and it gives you the option to change your message if other information means your post is no longer completely relevant. You can still hit submit again and it'll post though.

It's an option called post review in the forum settings.

There was no message.
Yes, on forum, multiple people are always typing and submitting on same topic.
But it happened twice with me, that I clicked Submit button, and my reply never appeared.
The first one disappeared is when I was quoting someone, but today I just replied and it never appeared.
And there was no window, or message to submit again.

There is a message.
I haven't got the files to hand but it says something like 'a post has been made while you were writing. You can review your post before submitting it'.

Submitting again should post your message.

I can resubmit if my typed text is available. But it got totally lost and I have to type again if I want to post.

I just tested it.
Works as expected.

I made a post in the test forum.

I wrote a 2nd reply and waited while Brf made a 2nd post before I had submitted.

I then got a message showing his post and at the top it says
POST REVIEW
At least one new post has been made to this topic. You may wish to review your post in light of this.

My text was still in the reply box and I just added some extra text and resubmitted it.

I did get the message this time. Any idea if Adblocker had caused it, as I have disabled it since two days.
