Post by durangod »

Hi, is there a tribute section in this forum to those involved with this forum that have passed on from this world? :?:

Sorry to hear that Sniper_E but i hear they need helpers on their forum as well, maybe youll get lucky :)

I think there should be a tribute somewhere if not on the forum then somewhere within phpbb company.

Blimey no please.

How exactly are you going to determine someone who you've probably never met, is actually dead? You yourself disappeared from here from 2020-2023. Do we assume you're dead and make a post or wait and see what happens?

Forums by their nature have extremely transient populations. People don't come back for all sorts of reasons.

@KevC true but im not really talking about transient members, im talking more about developers and staff/team members. I have had lots of conversations with staff members in the past and dont see them around anymore. Phpbb should know their status and should know if they have passed since they are developers and staff/team members. Am i wrong?

I see lots of popular software forums that do this, just an idea to give them a tribute. What about the original developer of phpbb, alive? If not why cant we tribute them?

Its just an idea? Thought it would be nice to see that human touch around here. :)

Exactly as above. There is no discussion value in this topic so I am closing it.
