How can I delete the cache correctly?

Hello,

I made some changes to the overall_header.html file in my style "NOT prosilver - another one". I had downloaded the file before making the changes, and then something went wrong, so I uploaded the old file from my computer.

However, there is a problem with the overall appearance. The overall appearance is damaged in the current style..

I cleared the cache from the dashboard and deleted the cache folder from the FTP.

But the problem persists, which is the bad overall appearance.

How can I completely clear the cache?

Note: I have tried a lot of browsers from different devices.

Have you tried with the prosilver style to see if the problem is the same?

The main cache can be cleared manually, for this you need to go via FTP to the /cache folder, located at the root of the forum, and delete all files from there, except .htaccess and index.html.
The browser cache should be cleared every time you change your theme's CSS and every time you change .js (JavaScript) files. There are also "very hard cases": some browsers store data other than CSS and JS in the cache, so if you made changes to the style, but don't see the result, clear the cache of the browser. Where and how to clear the browser cache depends on the browser you have. If you don't know, search the Internet for information.
But usually you just need to press Ctrl F5.

After being here for so long (6 years) I would have thought you’d know this but purging the cache in the ACP is the normal way and deleting everything from the /cache folder except for index.html and .htaccess using FTP is the other, which is basically what purging the cache via the ACP does. You should not be deleting the cache folder.
