[Split] Bogus Registrations & implications

I'm getting about 15 to 20 of these damned registrations every day. I've got the Q&A plugin installed (and have had for many months actually).

How the heck do I stop them?

Do any of the other general settings have an effect?

I also have a registration code extension for the Q&A ("copy the code from the bottom of the page"). I've just removed that question, in case that extension is no longer any good. So, I now just have a tricky question that I can't easily find an answer to on Google. Fingers crossed.

That’s a good question. I wouldn’t have thought bots would be able to search and find the answer.

I knew the answer so it’s probably not a fair test from me.

Well, so far, so good. No new dodgy registrations so far.

I think the Obscure Registration Code extension is no longer bot proof. Clearly they can copy the code now

I've gone back to a q&a question, that I don't think a bot can easily google. As I say, so far so good.
