I deleted a registered (e-mail confirmation) user that had posted like 6,000 posts while I wasn't watching for a few months. It deleted the user but crashed and left all the replies and spam posts. Now the user name is still on the board with posts, but the user is deleted. If I purge posts it will delete all my good posts as well. I wish I would have checked this board more often, and did weekly backups.
QUESTION 1. Is this a phpbb board issue, or did my sever at godaddy just crash before the board was done deleting posts?
(Now I guess delete them one by one, like 6,000 no way, feel like dumping the whole board and starting from scratch, what a mess.started 2010)
Question 2. in my db phpbb_login_attempts is like 49.7MB, and phpbb_sortable_confirms is like 89.1MB, can this be reduced, no current maximum for MySQL db on my sever, but is there a way to reduce or delete information, or why bother?
Any ideas how to get rid of the SPAM easily, I guess I need moderators?Their are a few registered and confirmed users that have spammed the S#&T out of the board, while not checking daily and post like 100-500 posts a day that will never delete, just the user goes and the spam stays...
Cheers & Thanks,
Edward
PS: phpbb v3.3.11, php version 8.1
