After reading the pinned post I would recommend if you are truly passionate about politics and "controversial" topics I recommend you buy an internet domain and install phpBB onto that site where you can share your thoughts to your hearts content. You can also treat your membership however you desire, be it with respect or disrespect, you are in charge of the environment. Please do continue to come back to the General Discussion forum where you can share, according to the rules of course, learn, and overall be a better human (or AI).

This helps grow the phpBB community, allows you the voice you wish you had, and who knows ... maybe you can even monetize it.

Consider this option a win for open source and for phpBB.

I can think of two websites that run phpBB that cater to politics. One I will not share because I don't want to inadvertently spam (I don't own the site but still), and the second one can be found in the site showcase as a large board.
