Is there an App for PHPBB?

I was told ''no'' years ago, but I was curious if PHPBB have developed an App since then. If the answer is still ''no'' then what would be the best way to making one? Hiring someone from the PHPBB community or another route?

No, there’s not an app for phpBB. You would first need an API built in order for an app to interface with your forum which phpBB also does not have either.

I have actually planned to work on an iOS app for phpBB but I first need to develop my API extension which is on the back burner because of other things I also need to work on as well.

You could absolutely hire someone though but anyone worth their salt will charge a lot of money for all that work as it’s a big job.

Thats what I do, it’s easy with iOS and Safari and even easier on an IBM PC clone.

The last time I heard of an IBM PC clone, a laptop was the size of a suitcase and ALL PC's were beige!

This is incorrect. The term "PC Clone" or "Clone" as relating to a personal computer was finally defined by PC Magazine in 1983.

while this was true of an actual 8086 known as an "XT" and most 80286's and some 80386's, by the time the 486 came out, the geek crowd always corrected the outdated "clone" term. Before the internet as we know it became available to the public I witnessed this same debate on several BBS's.
Remember BBS's? You dial an actual phone number with your 1440bbs modem and essentially chat, share files and read static text?
btw, the first mentions of IBM Clones I remember actually had nothing to do with the proc architecture. It was about about illegally reverse engineering the BIOS firmware which IBM claimed as proprietary property.

it seems Chrome doesnt like your js lib. It works fine in FF but the pancake doesnt respond in chrome and there is a large empty space under the header which im assuming is the hidden content. What js lib are you using?

I don't understand, How/what large empty space? Can you send a screenshot?

Log out as guest there and see if you see that space. Pull up Chrome and check it out also.
