USBwebserver with PHP 8.07 really was an easy install. We expect our difficultly has to do first with our lack of understanding of Ubuntu syntax and configuring the permissions and file structure of Ubuntu & USBwebserver with PHP 8.07.

We didn't find any mention of availability of USBwebserver with PHP 8.07 for USB or how to? A USB stick booted on a windows machine would be good.
For a simple manual (sort of): have a look at https://www.usbwebserver.net/webserver/ (I know it's an old version but the basics are the same for all versions).

On the other hand, it is not open source, which means you cannot change it or publish it in a modified form.

Yesterday we had USBwebserver with PHP 8.07 running on our Ubuntu workstation. Today we couldn't find it to restart it. So we attempted to start again from the beginning by downloading it again. Today the link no longer shows us what it did yesterday. We can not find USBwebserver with PHP 8.07 available for Ubuntu. :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?:

We are very confused. Why yesterday everything went smoothly until we ran into some permission issues and then we took a break.
Today nothing is as it was. :o :? :? :?

I downloaded it just now using the same link as yesterday and it 100% the same package.

https://www.onworks.net/software/window ... ver-v8-6-6 is not what we saw yesterday. Yesterday there was a link to where we could chose to download the application for Ubuntu, Windows, Mac. Today it wants to install a browser extension. Also today the site is loaded with advertisements.

For me it's the same page as before. Downloaded it just now for the third time: filesize = 57.937.254
Contents are the same.

Thanks everyone. :)

We are going to take a step back. To Re-think whether to do this upgrade or wait until the next.
