Topic title limit

Should I change topic title chatacters count limit? I have hit the limit enough times to consider increasing.
But how, the topic which I have found at https://searx.rhscz.eu/search?q=phpbb+topic+title+limit contains dead links and says that it may be needed to do a SQL queries. Latest PHPBB version or if you know for older version, then also please share/link the HowTo.
