I cannot reproduce that.
Can you show a printscreen of
yourdomain/ucp.php?i=ucp_main&mode=drafts
Spelling is freeware, which means you can use it for free.
On the other hand, it is not open source, which means you cannot change it or publish it in a modified form.

I've solved the problem . . . though created another. In getting the screenshot requested, I tried clicking on 'Load draft' rather than 'View/edit' and lo & behold the full editing window appeared. Surely that can't be right?

View/edit allows you to type more (or delete) and then resave it still as a draft.

Load allows you to load it up as if you were going to post, so you have the option to add BBcode etc from the buttons across the top and then actually submit it to the topic it was created in.

OK, thanks all. I'd still argue that View/edit implies full editing, but that's obviously the way it's always been. I might change it in the language file . . .

Thanks again for your speedy help

Actually View/edit does allow full editing. The fact that the BBcode buttons aren't visible (perhaps also some other buttons) doesn't imply that bbcode can't be used.

Didn't look but it might be used somewhere else and your edit may change it's context. Doesn't seem to be any purpose for it other than redundant clutter. If anything I'd just remove it from template, the link in the list also goes to edit pane in UCP.

Must admit, no-one's complained other than me, so maybe I should leave well alone, though I suspect most of our users just post straightaway. As for editing capabilities, unless I'm missing something (entirely possible) attachments aren't covered by the View/edit option.

You are correct in the sense that there's no include attachment button visible, but a file can be dragged to the input panel (just like when posting). However you won't see the result until it's saved. After saving just reload the draft and you'll see it has an attachment.

Actually there is difference between the two. If you load and save a draft in posting pane it creates new draft, saving in UCP does not.

There is also a bug with non functional posting pane when loading a draft from posting pane with no submit buttons. I created a ticket for the bug and suggestions to improve how drafts are handled.

True ... I keep on forgetting that and it's not the first time as I seldom use drafts.

Like I said - I'll leave well alone.

Thanks for the education, though!
