The info from that other post was: 1) Upload the install folder to the root folder of your forum (the one with the folders 'admin', 'cache', 'db', 'includes', 'language', etc.)
2) Point to the file in your browser. (http://{your_domain}/{root_path}/install/update_to_latest.php)
3) Delete the install folder
However, I don't know what or where the install folder is ?
I assumed I would FTP it, but got stuck not knowing where it is.
Download the latest release from this site.. and unzip it update_to_latest.php is in there..
You must have used more up to date files than before so now it is looking for a column which has not been added to the db.. running update_to_latest.php will add that column.

Umm... you still need to update to 2.0.17. At this point, however, you can download the Changed Files Only package and simply upgrade only a few files.
