After new 2.0.18 install, registered members hit 404 page

Post by willsteele » Fri Dec 23, 2005 6:10 am

I recently did an install. I set up so an smtp bounces out the new username and password. Works great, but after I login there are no resources located. Someone else might have seen this before: http://wls3.com/phpBB2

Do you mean you get a 404 error on login/logout?

im guessing the smtp is about the new user email confirmation...

can you please provide us with a support template so we can help you out a little better...

Sorry for not replying sooner. I had struggled with this thing for hours last night and couldn't make any more progress so I crashed...here are questions with my answers:

------------

igeoffi: Do you mean you get a 404 error on login/logout?

Yes.

------------

m3zzr: i think he needs to run the auto cookies

http://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=228741

I'm doing that now to see if that solves it.

------------

yawner: im guessing the smtp is about the new user email confirmation...

The only template I have in the support forlder is the default sub silver.

----------------

Thanks for all the help!

Please copy the Support Request Template body into a reply to this topic and complete it as fully as possible, so that we may provide assistance.

using any control-panel install/update is like shooting yourself in the foot. It won't kill you, but you're really going to hobble around until it heals.
Using the wrong tools (Front Page, DreamWeaver) gives the same results
Do not PM me for Support!
