All new MODs released in our MOD Database will be announced in here. All support for released MODs needs to take place in here. No new MODs will be accepted into the MOD Database for phpBB2
MOD Name: Show newest active user Author:starwiz MOD Description: Author Notes: This extremely simple mod changes the behavior of the "newest registered user" listing on a board's index. Normally, the last user to submit a registration form is displayed as the newest registered user. After applying this mod, however, the newest *active* registered user will be shown instead. This is especially useful on boards in which the admin must activate every registration, because it prevents outlandish usernames that the admin wouldn't approve from appearing on the index page.
Support for this MOD needs to be asked within this topic. The phpBB Teams are not responsible or required to give anyone support for this MOD. By installing this MOD, the phpBB Support Team or phpBB MODifications Team may not be able to provide support.
This MOD has only been tested by the phpBB MOD Team with the phpBB version in the topic title. It may not work in any other versions of phpBB.

(this is a non-active account manager for the phpBB Extension Customisations Team)
FWIW, this functionality is available in Active members Only, which also stops inactive members from appearing on the memberlist. I do realize that there's nothing wrong with having more than one MOD to do the same thing. Just thought folks might want to check out the other as well if they're interested in this one. 8)

I am here not very often and I think this is the reason, why I need help with this: I downloaded the MOD but I don't know what to do with the file: it has the .mod extension. What's the next step after downloading the file? Do I need to rename or somehow extract the file?
