Forum Permissions

Post by british.assassin » Sun Jun 18, 2006 5:50 pm

Hi

Is it possible to to set forum permissions so that if a user makes a new thread, that post will need to be approved, but if they reply to a thread, that post does not need to be approved?

Thanks,

british.assassin

If you go to forum permissions -> look up user or group -> Misc. section -> Can post without approval -> you can change this. However, I don't see any way to set it for new threads only.

No, post approval is only supported for general posting. There is no differentiation between new topic and new reply. But a good idea for later versions.

O well, I hope this does get added into a later version, it would be very handy.

Thanks,

So that post approval feature is turned off by default, right?

It would be kinda cool. Keep that in mind for when "Olympus Gold" is released. I would guess there would be a MOD Requests forum by then so you could ask for a MOD then. :)

Is the code-name "Olympus Gold" officially recognized? In that case, I suppose that's going to be the FINAL/first official non-pre-beta/beta release of phpBB 3x?
