New skin, appreciate comments

Post by sbrunkow »

I have a new skin called Ruby I have made and I would appreciate hearing comments about it. I know there is an issure with the color of "moderators" at the bottom of the page. I would like to hear if there are any other problems before I make it available.

It can be seen here http://www.gamesapiens.com

Thanks,
Steve

Looks great! I think your moderator color does blend a bit too much but why not use a completely different color for admin and mods? like yellows and grens or blues? It would be much easier for people to recongnize it. Also when you release it will thier be a GZip format available?

Are you're cellpics (category cell) supposed to stop short of the right margin?

This is one bit of code that I'm talking about.

Code: Select all

  <tr>
	<td class="catLeft" colspan="2" height="28"><span class="cattitle"><a href="index.php?c=1&sid=2692c38251bb4d4bc87fa65a0ef9c39d" class="cattitle">General Forums</a></span></td>
	<td class="rowpic" colspan="3" align="right">&nbsp;</td>
  </tr>
It doesn't go all the way across the forums and imo looks really ummmm bad.

GhettoT, that sounds like a good idea. I need to change some of the text in the admin panel too.

About the gzip, I don't know if there is anything special about the gzip for these, I'll have to look.

ZombieSlayer, does it look better on your end now? I think I have it fixed and it looks ok here. Definately wasn't supposed to be like that.

Thanks

Thanks for looking at it. I have changed the colors of the admin/mods also.

Hmm... nice stuff :) I wouldn't (normally) imagine green and dark red going too well together, but it does look good here.

Keep at it!

The only reason i asked about it is because i like to just put the .gzip file on my server then use a php script to decompress it. Its just easier to do that for me right now.

Looks awesome!

Plan on releasing it to the general public?

I'm seriously considering it as it seems that people like it.

GhettoT, if I do I can email you a gzipped file. I have a Mac so it's painless to make one.

Thanks for the comments, but if anyone has comments or changes they want to suggest now is the time.

I suggest aligning the second banner (Gamesapiens
Forum for the Modern Gaming Species) to the right. It looks a little odd with that empty space.
