Maybe this isn't the final design, and it's just a custom design for the phpBB official website. Maybe they have another one in plan for the Gold release.

It’s actually more like what you will see when it’s released.
There will be a few changes here and there, but for the most part, this is it... this is the new style.

Dont get me wrong I like 3.0 but dont you think your kind of sending out the message that using beta live is a good idea? There are many now who will just upgrade live, and im thinking the same.

I do... already noticed a few people got that idea and didn’t see any warning, and members have had to point that out to them... but hey, I think it was good timing and phpBB made a good move, and it was an opportune time... Bertie did them a favor... sortof

I can only hope they will release the new style with RC1.
I'm sure lots of people hope this as well.

maybe someone from the dev team can tell us if the new style will be released with RC1 or not

I have to agree - if I hadn't been keeping track of Area51 for the last 3 years or so, I'd be thinking 3.0B5 was the recommended release at the moment. It's even listed before 2.0.22 on the Downloads page and I don't see any "this shouldn't be used in a live environment" warning there.

Still, it may simply mean that RC1 is right around the corner. If so, all is forgiven eternally

Same with me... if I may make a MAJOR suggestion to dhn or SHS`...
Put a warning up there on the downloads page... there is NOTHING that warns the user to NOT use B5 in a live environment.

I thought the same thing...and did not see a warning. However, if you click the download link you will be brought to another page with phpbb3 specific downloads (upgrades/ect.). On this page there is a large warning not to use it.

I think the final proSilver style will be pretty much just like this one, minus the header navigation. There will probably be a small phpBB logo or something instead.

When you install it… on the last page before you click on Log in, it tells you to "Go Live" with it.
The installer makes several mentions of being Beta, but no warnings not to run it live.
