Got the user groups working: what a chore!

Still working on the Search (it's on the page, but doesn't do anything yet).

Finally got the username search working, thanks to some kind folks in the Mod Writers discussion area. 8)
Search will yield a map like the buttons in user's Profile or under posts:

And I managed to get the User Group name to show in the heading, where the User's username would appear on an individual map:

Now I'd like to make the initial/default map type (Map/Satellite/Hybrid) selectable from the ACP. I think that'll about do it for features. This will be release 1.0.5, but upgrading should be very simple - most changes are in the included Phoogle files, not the phpbb edited files.

Cool, the initial/default map type (Map/Satellite/Hybrid) will now be selectable from the ACP. 8) Now to examine setting permissions for usergroups to show on map, and maybe user level permission to view map.

Nowhere.

I'll want to try it out on my demo site before I release anything. And if the Permission features happen, this will quickly be replaced by another version with them included.
Again, it should be just overwriting the Phoogle included files, a new entry or two into the lang_ files, and a little sql (for flavor

) to add some new config values to the db. 8) I'll try it out tonight and put together a zip if all goes well.

Ok, so far only one issue i have come across...if one of the members co-ordinates is wrong, the whole map doesnt load...my one friend for some dumb reason copied his co-ordinates from Google Earth and the whole map didnt show...maybe you must "lock" the co-ordinates field? i.o.w. the co-ordinates only change when you change it on the map

The only way to do it is to hide that text field. It's a strange thing about html forms - if a field is "hidden", it can still be submitted and it's value modified (via javascript in this instance), but it can't be seen. On the other hand, you can set a field to 'disabled' and it can be seen but not modified like Phoogle map needs it to change the user's location.

I don't know for certain, but it would probably involve regular expressions - ugh!
