Notifications Going to Junk Mail

Post by IgnorantNewGuy » Sat May 05, 2007 5:49 pm

Some of my users are mentioning that when they do things like request username/password info and get their activation emails that it is going to their junk mail folder - I think Yahoo is the issue.

Anyone know what's up and how to fix it?

Yahoo, Hotmail, AOL - they all do this. If there is way for the users to whitelist, they can do that. Otherwise, when you see an email address like that, you send send the registration notification via your email.

Good to know. Thanks. I thought there was something I could do to fix it but I'll just make a note of it on the site so people know.

Thx again

No. If you could "fix it", then every junk mailer could "fix it" too. The fix has to be done by the user who is junking the mail.
