MOD Title: Hide Hack [Lockdown]
MOD Description: This MOD gives users in specific forums the ability to use a BBCode to hide content that cannot be seen until a user posts a reply to that topic, or clicks the [ Thanks ] Button (if the Thanks/Rep MOD is installed -- in development)

Demo Board: None yet

Features:

1. Admin would choose an option on a per-forum basis.
2. OP can choose an optioin on a per-topic basis
3. Hide hack options
   • [hide] <-- must post a reply or thank OP to see
   • [hide=reply] <-- must post a reply to see
   • [hide=thanks] <-- must thank OP to see
   • [hide=123] <-- must have post count of 123 to see
   • Any of the above can be overwritten by the forum specific settings (if any)
4. groups with a special permission can always see the code inside the hide BBCodes without need of replying
5. User requires permission to use the hide hack -- will be a forum-based permission
6. Allow Attachments/Downloads to be hidden using the Hide Hack

nice one, looking forward on it.
and if only you can add option by admin, only thanks button click option enabled in locked topic so people can't post, just say thanks.
and another option, replying post can to be not added to user's total posts for specified topics.
similar like poll that not adding user's post counts but this one have hide hack module in it

running a tutorial forum, closed 1 forum, user must be created by me to access that forum and must port a homework reply to see link to next posting.
or something like that anyway.

Yes, it would work well for those types of forums.

One of the main reasons I decided to make this MOD was for the phpBBAcademy where I post a challenge, and people reply with their answer, but the idea is to make it where those replies are hidden from other users doing the same challenge so that it does not influence them at all.
Then of course, in the permissions, you would disabled editing of own post for that forum, so that even after posting, they don’t have the ability to cheat and edit their post after looking at everyone else’s results.

if you can :

1- admins or supervisors or group (chosen by admin) only can use hide mod ( if any user type [hide] content [/hide] a MSG appear to him that he don't have a permission to use Hide BB-code

I’ve not decided yet if I’m going to use a Thank post MOD, or a simple Rep/Karma (Thank User MOD), which is based on the user instead of the post.

What does everyone else think I should use?

i think so to... if it will work with thank post mod it would be great... in my opinion users should only be able to unhide something if they klicked thanks.... unhide with posts mostly makes the users spam
