I need a download mod for my forum, but noone will write something like this so I have do to this by my self I will hold this mod so simple as posible because I don't need thinks like rating.

Planed features:
* Categories for downloads
* Comments for eatch download
* New files can be uploaded by users
* Description for eatch download
* Aternative download URL for eatch download
* Counter for downloads
* Additional infos to a download like filesize, versionnumber or date of last update

I have just started to write this Mod, firs demo shuld be available in baout 1 or 2 weeks.

what about a phpBB3 patch for the download mod (Download Mod pafiledb with MX Addon v0.0.9d) for phpBB2 - many already use that one

Also if you can add an option to put url so that admin dont need to upload file via php but they do through FTP and then just indicates where it is and file get show on the download page .

Also there should be ability to add a download to a message; maybe by a bbcode with download ID.

There should be also leech protection.

If you use pafile add on , please consider useing the latest version of pafile which is 3.6 now.

I try to make a patch, but first I have to wirte this Mod.

Yes I have files with 1GB or higher for download, so I will add a option to link to a file that is uploaded by FTP.

I have a recommendation for features, you can add on the ACP a Enable/Disable users upload option. I.E: Enable: Users can upload things. Disabled: They can't.

Would be even better if we could select which category we want our attachments to be viewable in, and the ones that do not have a category (because they were uploaded before this mod was installed) have their own separate category.
